Last night, at NYU’s Skirball Center, the winners of the 31st Lambda Literary Awards—the Lammys—were announced. In addition to the following 25 book award winners, three other individuals were acknowledged for their work in bringing visibility to LGBTQ voices. Alexander Chee was given the Lambda’s Trustee Award, Masha Gessen received the Visionary Award, and Barbara Smith was honored with the Publishing Professional Award.
